Folkestone Rugby Club Summer Ball - Friday 03 July 2009
I wanted to send you an email to thank you, Scott and your team for all your efforts at our Summer Ball this year.
You’ve both been very professional and accommodating throughout the whole process, from booking to execution.
Given that the 4 people organising this event (including myself) are volunteers, and that we all have full-time jobs that ask more from us in these uncertain financial times than they would have done in previous years, I have to say that the element I felt most ‘at ease’ with during the months leading up to it, was that you were on-board to help us get things right.
I spoke with many of the guests we had this year, and what stood out for the majority was the quality of the food and the way it was served. Given that there have been issues with the food in previous years, this was a great turn around for us, and hopefully means that it is something we can build on for years to come. The staff on duty were also very accommodating, there was a person on my table whose partner had forgotten to mention she was a vegetarian, and the waiting staff swiftly replaced her meal without fuss. I have to say that those that had the vegetarian option were also very impressed and compared what they were served, with what they would expect in a good restaurant, and not a banquet at a rugby club. Even though I am not vegetarian myself, I base my opinions on a chef, with what they can cater for when it comes to those with special dietary requirements (and not just a vegetable nut cutlet like they would have done years ago).
We had “match programmes” for the ball on each table (see attached) where I did a little piece on Scott (taken from your website). With everyone so impressed by what was produced, hopefully it may spin-off some more business for you.
